Cool Schools!

So, one of our news channels does this neat thing where they go around to the different high schools of our area and film live broadcasts at the schools.  Most of the time it consists of a few interviews and a giant pep rally in the school’s gymnasium.  Today was our day at my school, and I made my first-ever appearance on live TV!  ^_^

Since I’m in the band, I was required to show up for this thing.  Of course, even if I wasn’t required, I’d have probably been there anyway.  Except the only thing was, we had to be at the school ready to go at 4:30AM and the pep rally was from 5:00-7:00AM!  It was so early!  But I guess it was okay; because my dad, who had been watching the live broadcast at home, said that I looked pretty good on TV when the camera panned across the band.  Plus, all the people who showed up for the pep rally got to get out of school a half a day early, so that’s always a HUGE AWESOMENESS.  I thought it was going to be boring, but it actually ended up being pretty fun.  ^^

New Semester

Well, it’s finally time to start back to school again after Christmas break.  >_<  At least this is my last semester of high school!

Good news:  I finally got my cosplay ordered and it came in the mail over the break.  ^_^  Bad news:  Report cards go out in a couple of days and I have no idea what mine is going to look like.  I’m really getting sick of being treated like a little child!  But then again, I suppose that I technically am still under 18 for a grand total of six more months….

I’m just ready for school to be over so I can move on to bigger and better things.  Anyway…anime con is coming up in a few months so…I guess that’s more good news!  ^_^  Not to mention I’m pretty excited about the DROID I got for Christmas.  And we’ve had snow!  Yay for snow!

Still more PayPal Issues…

Okay, so I have good news and bad news.  The good news is this:  my Miku wig came in the mail yesterday.  ^_^  It’s very nice and it’s worth every bit of that 70 dollars we paid for it (I know, right?  Ridiculous price!).

The bad news is the fact that for some odd reason, my parents refuse to get PayPal.  I don’t know why; I guess it’s because they think it’s “not safe” or some other bullshit…but anyway, as you read previously, we can’t order the rest of my Miku Hatsune cosplay without PayPal.  So we’ve come up with a simple solution:  I have friends that have PayPal.  Perhaps I can use one of their PayPals to order the rest of it, and then write them a check to pay them back.  It’ll be simple–I’ll just get Mom to sign a check for me and I’ll take it over to my friend’s house and make it out however their parents want.  The only problem is going to be finding out whether or not their parents will agree to this or not…I guess I’ll find out tomorrow if we can do it or not. 

If I can’t find somebody who will let me use their PayPal, I don’t know what we’ll do.  I guess my parents will just have to get it, for crying out loud. 

Back from our trip….

Well, I guess we had a good weekend trip, even if we did have to rush back in time for the choir performance and we almost were late and we didn’t get to warm up our voices and therefore I sounded terrible through the whole performance.  That was nice.  The good thing about my life now is that the whole fiasco described in my previous post is now over, and that it’s almost Thanksgiving and because of that I only have to go to school two days next week.  The bad news is this:  I just realized I have a small project due in my History class tomorrow and of course you know, I haven’t done it.  And we still don’t have PayPal.  Other than that, life is looking a little better for me now.

Crap, this SUCKS.

Well, my mom’s birthday is this week and we’ve been planning a quick little weekend trip.  And it just so happens that everything is happening this weekend.  I mean, seriously, every single blessed organization that I am in has decided to do something this weekend, and I just don’t see how under the sun we can go on this trip.  I have a choir performance at church at 4:00 on Sunday.  The marching band is marching in the Christmas parade on Saturday.  My interpretive dance team at church was going to have a performance on Sunday morning but we managed to get that rescheduled.  But we CAN’T just reschedule the freaking Christmas parade and the entire Choral Society’s performance just for this crazy trip!  I can’t believe this is happening!

Also, to top things off, Mom and I just had a very heated argument about my Miku costume and how she thinks this is so stupid and how she thinks it’s just throwing money away.  I can’t help it.  I’ve tried and tried to get her to let me get a job and pay for some of it, and she won’t let me.  She insists I should be concentrated on my studies and school.  So, if she won’t let me get a job and try to help, then why the hell is she yelling at me about it?  I just don’t get it!  Not to mention my original plan of ordering my cosplay before progress reports go out isn’t going to work because of the stupid PayPal crap.  Now mother is going to get to see my “unacceptable” bad grade and then she’ll just use that as an excuse.  Man, I’m going to go play Pokemon Colosseum now; maybe that will calm my mind.

So..we don’t have PayPal.

Yesterday, we went to buy my Miku Hatsune cosplay.  I mean, we had spent some time figuring out which costume package we were going to buy, which headset, which wig…all the works.  Well, we buy my wig.  And that is perfectly great, right?  Right.  So after that, we go to buy my costume and my headset, which were both at the same website.  We go all the way through the process of checking out only to find that this particular website requires that you pay through PayPal, which we do not have PayPal.

So now, we’re supposed to get a PayPal account so we can buy the rest of my cosplay.  >_<  It will only happen if I can get mother up out of her work and get her to sit down for five seconds so that we can make the PayPal account. 

This is so inconvenient!

Nintendo Wi-Fi is a Blast!

So, today I felt the need to go on my Wii’s Wi-Fi and do some live pokemon battles on my Pokemon Battle Revolution game.  I don’t know why I was suddenly overcome with the need to battle, but I really was.  I had three fights today; a couple of good ones and one not so good one.  I’d go into complete detail, but I can’t tell you all the information about my team can I?  Then you wouldn’t be surprised if you decided to challenge me!  ^_^

The first battle I had, the player was using the “Little Girl” character.  She ended up giving in about two turns into the fight.  I have to admit–I did feel sorry for her.  The next couple of battles were both against different designs of the “Cool Boy” character, and those battles were really good!  I seriously thought I might lose the last battle; he had obviously EV trained his pokemon to the max.  I did win all three battles, but the last one, I just barely squeaked by….anyway, it was fun.  My competitive team still has a long way to go, though!

BACK Again

Wow.  I’ve got to actually start keeping up with my blog again.

So, now that marching band season is over I will have some extra time to do other things, so that’s nice.  I’ve recently gotten into learning anime dances; they’re really fun.  ^^  I guess here in a few minutes I will get ready to go over and visit with my grandparents a bit.  It’s been a really long time since I’ve been able to visit with them (I usually do on Saturday nights, but you see, I’ve had band competitions recently, so yeah).  But I have to go help my mom with laundry now.  ^^  *doesn’t like doing laundry, but oh well*

Yay, I’m back!  Wow, it’s been FOREVER since I’ve been able to write on here.  I had a very enjoyable (but busy) fall break on vacation in Florida. 

RELIEF!

Yesterday I found out that my Advanced Algebra grade is going to be a B on my report card, NOT a C!!  I am so excited!  I worried quite a bit over it during fall break because you know how my mother is (if you DON’T know how my mother is, see my page entitled “My Parents.”).  Yay, I’m happy!  Now the only thing I’ve got to look forward to is getting my report card next Monday because I know all my grades will be acceptable.

Then, on to organizing my cosplays. 

Remember way back when I said that I was going to get a friend’s mother to make my Lucia Nanami cosplay?  Well, now I’m not so sure.  You see, my parents know this guy who specializes in making costumes.  He lives in Tennessee’s capital city of Nashville, and we plan on going to see him about my Miku Hatsune cosplay.  I just might get him to look into making my Lucia cosplay too…I’m not sure.  But for now, I’m just excited that my grades will be good.  I thought I was DEAD over my stupid algebra grade….

Fall Break!

I just got off school for fall break!  This makes me SOOO INCREDIBLY happy, you have no idea how excited I am!  I’m about to go off to Florida for a vacation and I’m taking my laptop, so I may or may not be able to get online while I’m down there (depending if my busy schedule allows for it or not!).
